About A+ Plus Student Movers
A+ Student Movers began in 1998 while our founder Kiley Cronen was attending
Portland State University. After taking several business courses, the
entreprenurial bug bit.
With a
full-size pick-up truck, and a small ad in the college paper, Kiley began
moving
for friends, students, and staff from the PSU campus. Before too long,
the number of friends, students and staff to move had dwindled.
It was time for Kiley to draw on the knowledge gained through his marketing courses.
Advertising more and more throughout the area, Kiley was able to start
taking on customers from all over Portland.
Suddenly the side job he had created for himself emerged as A+ Student Movers;
a full service load and unload moving company with staedily increasing
experience. The faces have changed over the past seven years but the
service has only improved.
In the summer of 2005, the company began to reach new heights. A new team member named Dan Maughiman joined Kiley and developed a bond with the boss. Trusted by Kiley to lead the company where it needed to go, Dan led the moving crew all through time in school, where he also played as a Viking. Opportunity was presented to the company owner Kiley to pursue another business endeavor and leave the company he had built from the ground up. Kiley chose Dan to grab the reigns, and take control of A+ Student Movers. Finished with school, Dan was eager to start a new chapter and take over the company he had put his heart into over the past few years, and the "entrepreneurial bug" bit him also. Transition in executive ownership took place in the spring of 2009, and he has continued to be committed to the same quality standards which were founded upon years ago. The Company now has a new fresh identity with the same great service.
Each year we grow, we improve. We now have an outstanding team of college movers
studying subjects from anthropology to zoology. Our movers are young
able bodied college students with strong backs and educated minds capable
of moving you with speed, efficiency and the highest degree of care.
